trophy wives, traveling, lanta
Hey everyone, I hope your all safe and evacuated. I’m assuming you are, since if you have the time to waste reading this, chances are your okay, or you plunging to your dead bed and just want one last drop of wisdom from the life of Boh.
We left the house shortly after 5:00 am. Parked. Got in the airport, and 1 hour later we were in our seats past security by the gate. Sadly, the hot dog stand next to the gate isn’t open yet, if it opens. One of the things I look forward to most upon going on a trip is the hot dogs at the air port. They have the best ones, considering your never sure if the Lucky dogs are going to make you sick.
This hot blond babe is sitting across from me reading a Maxim magazine with Anna Kournakova on the cover. Can it get any hotter then that?
ATLANTA- I’ve been in Atlanta now for about 90 minutes. It has really grown since I was here the last time in 1997, one year after hosting the 1996 Summer Olympics. There are big buildings everywhere and lots of road construction. We are going to be busy with plenty to do. We’re in a nice hotel and are doing good so far. The rest of the family will join us soon. Alabama- Clemson are playing each other today at the Georgia Dome, which seats 20,000 empty seats per Falcons game. That is a great game, it just didn’t work out with the timing, and It won’t be over for to late for my dad, he is currently waiting to have surgery on his groin so he needs his rest.
When you get two big time college schools together like this for a big game in a city like Atlanta, you see a lot of 55-60 year old men with Stanley cup sized trophy wives who are around the ages of 25-30. Hot southern girls for the win!
I’ve been keeping updates on friends so I’d love love t hear people post here where they are going.

send me your pictures
MICHAELRBOH@AOL.COM
Anyway, I just realized something-
Anyone who reads this can send there pictures in, of evacuating or whatever And I can post them here on my blog and in my photo albums. I payed something like $10 extra to be able to store more stuff on google/blogger so i can have as many pictures as i want. but I haven't been using them. So I'd love to see what everyone does. (i did a half-ass job of editing that)
If anyone know's what to do in atlanta let me know. no sports teams are playing, it wouldn't matter because atlanta has terrible sports teams other then georgia tech.
i AM going to keep trying to blog the next few days. it should be a little more eventful then usual.
It's a little hard to keep track of what to write. I've noticed there hasn't been one trade offer today in the NFFL when usually before the season starts, if I go offline for more then 3 hours I have close to 20 emails in my mail.
The positive way to look at this is to think of it as a trip and just assume it won't hit, and that you get to miss a few days of work/school. This is going to sound maybe wrong to some, but we know someone who is going to Dallas and is just talking about going shopping. Like the hurricane was going to hit Mexico or something. They aren't worried.

hurricane 2
Everyone thought the newman pizza eating story was funny. I'm glad they liked it.
I can tell there's a lot of excitement going around, in a nervous way, about this because every where i've been in the last 24 hours people have been talking way faster then usual. Things usually move a little slower in New Orleans, especially in the Hot months. Not today my friend.
ON A SIDE NOTE, IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS, COLLEGE FOOTBALL STARTS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

cubs, nff, richard b
Our season is hangs in the foot….of Tom Brady. I will never trust a Bill Bellicheck injury report. So I’m not to concerned. Rookie-i-tis does bother me a bit having 3 rookies on your team. We absolutely need to cut that down. It’s impossible to draft the 3 top fantasy rookie players in one draft. I am now more aware of things, Ranking us 10th out 10 teams was not right after winning the thing last year. I’m not going to be disrespected by a bunch of 16 year olds when I’ve whipped them all once. I’ve been watching football since I was 6 years old, before a single one of them was born. Let’s leave it at that.
“we will find a way, or make a way” Mike Ditka upon being hired by the Saints 1997 before being fired after 3 years
Mike Boh and Chris Riess will in fact make a way
You’ve got to read some of the stuff on the blog’s on www.nola.com the people are going crazy (in the unintentionally funny way) over the (possible) hurricane. New Orleans is without a doubt the craziest city in the world, it’s what make’s it great.
Cubs- I watched the cubs beat the Pirates today. They are playing so well. I think this is going to be the year. Of course I wouldn’t be surprised if Kerry Wood blew out his arm next time he takes the mound and they lack the closer for the playoffs. But they aren’t that badly off. It’s just you expect stuff like that from the Cubs. The only team that I haven’t gotten used to failing me is the Hornets, and after game 7 vs the Spurs, ugh…. The Yankees stopped winning championships the year I became a fan (2001)
This is the final week of my brother being here in New Orleans, before he goes back to college. I’ve really enjoyed him being here, while he was an intern at Boh Bros. this summer. I got to know the real him, and he got to know what I’ve become since I can hear him finally. We would watch Futurama while I did my CF treatments and it was just a lot of fun. He has another year of college. I really liked going out to Ruth Chris Steakhouse by Harah’s Casino when my parent’s were out of town.
Newman fantasy football will now be called NFF that makes it shorter and saves space

the world from michael boh
One time my dad, at one of these pro am's in new orleans was stuck with former pga champion Mark Brooks; who was one of those journeymen with a major- win kind of guys, he would walk way ahead of them on purpose to not talk to us who were paying for the "honor" of playing with him. I think it's like that with these foreigner girls, they don't mean to come off wrong like mark brooks did, but there not much different from being mute since both of you, have no clue what the other is saying. This is a good rule change. It's like, women- learn our language or leave it! You can't speak english then you can go back to sweeping the floor in Korea and getting the rice out of the backyard.
My WWE Source since i don't watch it anymore is telling me Vince Mcmahon is already taking advantage of Russia Invading Georgia and dusting off the evil russian bad guy act and calling him the Moscow Mauler. I remember, the first thing I thought right after the shock of the news was, How long until vince mcmahon capitalizes on this, He had an Iran wrestler during the hostage situation, he turned American Gi Joe Like good guy sgt slaughter into an Iraqi follower of Sadaam Hussein during the gulf war (with the two of them "supposedly having there picture being taken together) he always does stupid stuff like this for attention. So I guess Russians are once again bad guys in wrestling, you can have any guy be "russian" as long as they have- pale skin, tall, bald hair, beard, ugly and they "hate america"
I see a hurricane is forming in the gulf on the path to New Orleans. I really hope we miss it. They can rebuild those casinos in mississippi, no one really lives there. Of course I'm not wishing harm or anything, but our dear city has put up with way to much. I just don't even want to imagine another devestating hurricane. They still write about it every day in the newspaper here still, bitchin' stuff about the "road homes" that i skip over. I have no clue what "road homes" are, all I'm interested is, how's Jeremy Shockey looking for this week's game.

Newman Fantasy football draft year 2
-being in a room with 15 other 16 year old boys has some funny smells, that's for sure. They ordered 8 Boxes of pizza and within 15 minutes it was all gone.
-Not going to name namees, however I did see one of them reach into his pants to scratch then without washing he reached into the pizza box to take another slice. it was so gross. After that I'm glad I didn't eat anymore.
-It was a pretty stressful environment for me to hear. I was trying so hard. I only really knew 2 other kids besides Chris there so it was a little difficult to know who I was talking to because I didn't hear them say who they were when I first walked in. This is often hard when I meet someone for the first time after talking to them over the computer. With the exception of a really hot girl of course. I Really had fun though.
-I see that now, that they are 16 they passed the poop joke stage and entered the american pie/teen movie humor stage. I'd like to say what they were doing but this blog is starting to get a little vulgar and I like to keep it family friendly. However I want to point out I was doing the exact same thing in about 2002 that they do now in 2008....well I still did it until 2006 or so but it just took me longer. haha. kidding.
- Chris really helped me when I wasn't able to hear. I Think we're going to butt heads at some point over a trade in fantasy football but that's part of the fun. I;m already trying to tell him not to trade for Jeremy Shockey, the saints talented but injury prone TE. You can't have guys who are injury prone on our team when we already drafted the suspended for 2 games steve smith.
- Fantasy Roster-
Starting WR- Anquan Boldin
Starting WR- Brandon Marshall
Starting WR- Marvin Harrison (I'm encouraged by this pick because the colts have been playing him and usually they hold out most of there players in there pre-season so the knee doesn't seem to be a problem)
Starting RB- Ryan Grant
Starting RB- Darren Mcfadden (I made this pick, I know he plays for the Raiders but the guy has to much talent not to be picked early. He's a sleeper pick not because of talent, he has that but because people write him off just because he plays for the raiders.)
Starting TE- Owen Daniels
Bench- Deion Branch
Bench- Matt Forte (This pick is one of the better ones for us, I think we are set at RB)
Bench- James Hardy
Bench- Jon Kitna (I wanted Kurt Warner here since he's the starter and I'VE always thought he was under rated)
Bench- Ahman Green- He was a let's get this over with pick. I don't think we start the season with him.
Bench- Steve Smith- Injury Prone, Suspended the first two games of the year, but I think you have to take a shot on the guy.
Bench- Algea Crumpler He's okay for a backup TE. You might even start him some weeks.

it's draft day
We are getting stuff fixed on our TV on Tuesday, one of the things I’m wanting in our TV room, is in the bathroom right next to it, for us to have a really good TV speaker in the Bathroom so if I need to let it go, I can still hear Tim Mccarver talk about how they played it in the early 60’s, or I could hear Joe Morgan talk about how great Joe Morgan was/is while I'm peeing.
A thought came to my head yesterday. We were driving home, and we were talking about the increasingly irrelevance of Tulane football. It’s really a sad thing, they’ve been bad throughout there history but I think before Katrina they weren’t on UNO (university of New Orleans) level support. The attitude those egg heads who run that school disgust me. They don’t care about winning enough and place to much of an importants on grades. Anyhow, we could easily contend for Conference USA, but the schools attitude is something along the lines of “we’re not going to contend for the national title, so we’ll just field a team to keep the donors happy.” Why couldn’t there national championship game be the whatever-the-hell-the-sponsor Liberty Bowl? THEY Don’t care that’s why. They just want your money.
I can clear remember, being a 5 year old, sitting in a luxury box, going to one of my first Tulane football games. It doesn’t matter what year this was, could have been 1990,91, 92, but anyway- It was the last game of the year and Tulane was winless and I can still remember to this day a banner in front of the students section (they used to go to games) that simply said, “Please Win one”
I think that banner that I saw, could be said again in 2008. 3 Years after Katrina is going to be tougher than the 2005,2006,2007 seasons due to the top players having graduated.
Team USA Men's Basketball is something you can really be proud of today. They are still the best in the world without a doubt. WE ARE THE BEST. You can say we, when you talk about your country, and Kobe,Lebron,Chris Paul and the rest represent our country in these games. It was impressive watching them and I can't wait for London in 2012. I bet the world is completely different by then.

Boh's NFL Predictions
MICHAEL BOH’S NFL SEASON PREDICTIONS
(I’m aware these predictions are very similar to lasts years year end results, this is what every “expert” does. Once you get put in a position of being able to pick for a prestigious blog such as michaelrboh.com you no longer say stuff like, “well you know I’m taking Jaguars over Eagles” for the super bowl. You keep your picks to something, “shocking” like Cowboys over Patriots in the Super bowl.)
AFC CHAMPIONS- New England Patriots- In the NFL, it’s usually not wise to bet on the favorites. However, I think the Patriots are so good every year, that they qualify as a sure thing. There are 3 other good teams in the AFC- The Colts, Jags, Steelers, who can give them trouble. Two teams teams who could be a trap game in the playoffs- Browns, Chargers. The only other team that could be trouble and it is a long shot is the Denver Broncos.
NFC Champions- Dallas Cowboys- they got better, the packers got worse, the Giants over achieved big last year. This makes the “stars” (lame pun intended) align.
Super Bowl XLIII (43 for those of you who didn’t major in roman numerals)
Dallas Cowboys- 38 New England Patriots 31 (cowboys score a td at the end when a fg would do the job “cover the spread”
Afc South-
Colts- I’m a little worried about the Colts if Peyton goes down but they are coached by one of the best coaches in NFL History in Tony Dungy, and are good on both sides of the ball.
Jags- They could win this division but THEY will make the playoffs for sure (wildcard team)
Houston Texans- I wish sometimes that the Saints had been able to draft Mario Williams, sure it wouldn’t have created the same excitement, and they wouldn’t have sold all those Jerseys and pretty much anything with a saints logo on it but this guy is going to be going to the pro bowl every year. If they were in a different division they could make the playoffs, as it is, .500 is and no playoffs is the best they can do.
Titans- If Chris Riess couldn’t beat me in Madden with these guys, how are they supposed to win in real life?
AFC North I am going with the Cleveland Browns. There fans have been waiting for something to cheer about since Bernie Kosar was there QB, And they played at the Dawg Pound.
Steelers- They will be good but the AFC is very competitive and you might have to win 11 games to make it for sure. I’m thinking they make the playoffs though. They do every year.
Bengals- Back to being the Bungles as Chad Johnson starts is to much of a distraction. Come on, this is almost to easy? At least Carson Palmer is a good QB. On a side note, I’m say the over/under for Bengal players arrested is 12, I’m taking the over.
Ravens- Another bad team. You don’t think of expansion being a problem on the level of talent in the NFL but it creates so many teams who just flat out suck.
AFC East- New England Patriots, next question. This is the weakest division in football so you know they get 6 wins out of these three teams. that's a key reason why they are so good.
Jets- Getting Farve might make the Jets win 8 games if everything goes perfect. I seriously doubt that will happen. I think the question is- will Rachel Nichols keep stalking Brett Farve? I could see her digging through his trash and stuff.
Dolphins- they can’t get much worse. I see them winning about 4 games.
Bills- Will compete with the Chiefs for the worst record in the NFL. It was a different world literally when the Bills with Marv Levy used to beat up on the other teams.
AFC West
I guess the chargers are the favorites but I still think Phillip Rivers is not that good. See he’s good enough were you can’t really complain about him, but he’s not good enough to lead you to a super bowl. He should of done it by now with SD. I see them winning the division again and Losing in the playoffs.
Denver Broncos- Jay cutler should be better this year since he has DIEABEATIES under control. But I’m still not sold if he’s really that good. But the other two teams are terrible and Denver puts out competitive teams every year.
Oakland- They make “progress” for them. Which is winning 7 games and flirting with .500 in December. I think Mcfadden will win rookie of the year edging out Matt Forte.
Kansas City- This is going to be the worst team in football. Try playing them in Madden and see what I mean. It’s so hard to score, stop the pass. The only things they have of value are Dwayne Bowe, Tony Gonzales and Glen Dorsey.
NFC Predictions-
Nfc south-
Tampa- They could go 5-11 just as easy. I don’t know if Jeff Garcia can hold up for a whole season though. John Gruden could go through 4-5 different QB’s and I wouldn’t be surprised.
Saints- They could easily be saving it for the regular Season. The Offense looks better than ever, like they could score whenever they want. For them to win, they are going to have to stop the pass. An interesting stat is that, even though they got off to an 0-4 Star, Brees was 23 td’s and 0 int’s in the redzone. Add Shockey to the mix and I say that goes up some.
Carolina- 5 or 6 wins, next
Atlanta- A lot of pressure will be on Matt Ryan. Atlanta gave him way to much money for his draft spot. He got more than anyone else in the draft and he was picked 3rd, so there’s a lot on the line. Atlanta is terrible though and he could be a bigger bust then David Carr for the Texans if you can imagine that. He was taken more as a “Need pick” then his overall talent. This is kind of the stuff the veterans hate when a rookie makes way more than them.
Nfc North
Green Bay- I think Aaron Rodgers will be decent enough. He won’t be Brett Farve, but maybe he won’t make costly INT’s at the end of games that kill their chances to win especially in the post season.
Minnesota Vikings- If only they had got a real QB instead of trying to talk themselves into thinking tarvarias Jackson was a good QB. I know there wasn’t anyone to get though since the Packers were all paranoid about Brett Farve going there.
Chicago Bears- Matt Forte will get over 1,300 yards rushing. He’s a good fantasy pickup because he will get most of the carries because they released Cedric Benson a few months back. Plus he went to Tulane! Seriously he is good. Though for the rest of the Bears, it’s just the same thing since the time I’ve started watching football (1991) NO QB.
Detroit Lions- They suck. It makes the Fords look even worse to have the LA Clippers of the NFL.
Nfc West-
Seattle Seahawks- They win it every year and this year will not be different
St Louis Rams- How did this team go 3-13 last year? I watched them completely dominate the Saints team and I just have to suspect they might have been tanking it. Chris Long got a motor.
San Francisco 49ers- If they would bench Alex Smith this team could win the NFC West. That’s how bad he is.
Arizona- Among the contenders for the 1st pick in the draft. Arizona is a joke of a franchise. They don’t know how to manage the salary cap so they have to let guys go for nothing every year.
NFC EAST-
COWBOYS- NFC CHAMPIONS, Jerry Jones will do whatever it takes to put a good team together. You got to love that in an owner. If people here in New Orleans can't stand Chicago Bear fans or Atlanta Falcon fans, wait until they dominate this year. They will win 14-15 games for sure.
EAGLES- They are always about this good. Mcnabb goes down by week 6 and the Backup whoever it is carries the team for most of the year until Mcnabb comes back and they lose in the first round of the playoffs.
Giants- Let down year, I See then contending for the playoffs, it’s a 50/50 shot. Fans enraged at having to pay up to 150,000 Just for the right to buy tickets at the new Giants stadium and then have to purchase the season tickets again.
Redskins- Jason Cambell is over rated, team gets off to a lousy start. Colt Brennan takes over the starting job by the end of the year

ULTIMATE BLOGGER
2 days ago- ross's sister kept him from coming until late, so we didn't see dark knight. We watched south park.
Ross came over a second time yesterday and we decided to go to the movie "Tropic Thunder" it was pretty good, An all star cast of actors. The only problem with it is they made fun of mentally challenged people and I've always thought that was a really weak thing to do. Also it was 30 minutes to long. any movie over 90 minutes is getting on the long side for me.
Lets talk about golf- It's time once again for the nascar rip off FED-EX cup. I'm not going to get REALLY REALLY and talk about it being "a disgrace to the game of golf" but it acomplishes nothing. The big bonus prize of 10 million is not actually what it appears to be. You get payments of something like 50,000 a year for 20 years (or is it 10...hell i haven't taken match in 5 years) now this would be awesome for you or me. I mean, I could work as hard as my neighbor next to us who just sits on his front porch all day smoking and staring into space and come out fine but It's not a whole lot of money when you think about it. Doesn't half of it get taken away every year? I'm no expert on taxes but I'd say you lose more money.
okay, sorry about going on and on about it. I just love how they have stupid things like that to entice players to play that aren't quiet what they seem. Really it doesn't sound that bad. Now, I just don't think the thing works because in golf you have to play 4 rounds and really be at a tournament 5-6 days for the pro-am and stuff. then they have to do it 3 weeks in a row and then there's the ryder cup. You got to much going on. It's not like nascar where it's more of a weekend thing and they only have to drive once. Plus pga tour players other then Tiger are known to be a little "soft" so to speak. Paddy Harrington though, isn't soft. He's the exception. If you want to look up the definition of soft for a golf, go to google and type in "SERGIO GARCIA CHOKING CHOKES MELTDOWN" and you should get over 100,000 results in 0.33 second
I want to play madden soon with my cousin david. He's 12 now, lets see he was born in june of 1996 so i guess that makes him 12. wow time flies. Anyway, I have to get revenge for losing to him a few years back in madden 2003 when he was like 6 years old. I was trying also, I mean yeah I was the expansion Texans who are the worst team in the 20 year history of Madden (though i'd make a case for the ditka era saints, specifically the 99 team with keith poole catching bombs from billy joe hobert and billy joe tolliver haha)

usa
Team USA men's b-ball team was looking great against spain. I think that pretty much proves that no one is going to come anywhere close to beating us. It's really unfair for any other team when you can start with Kobe,Lebron or Carmelo and Bring Dwayne Wade and Chris Paul off the bench fully rested. Not to mention guys like Dwight Howard. These guys are taking it seriously also. It's not like the last few olympic teams where they were more a bunch of indivuals and not a team. It helps not having guys who like to jack it up like Iverson or stephon marbury.
Tons of trash talk following my wins in Madden. I bragged about it to all of Chris FRIENDS and they were all giving him a hard time about it. I'm amused by it.
I seems like every time I drive back from downtown New Orleans the gas price at this one station is 5-10 cents lower the last month. I just realized today that it's been going down, and I wasn't just imaging it. I think like anything people really panicked and over hyped the price a little much. How could it go up by so much in about 6 months? I don't even pretend to understand how it all works but it was weird.
I've been told I get to be the next person in the Family to go on a trip. I've mentioned several places in my blog but I don't really know. Does anyone have any suggestions on a place to go, or anything fun that they would recommend.

Chris Came over and we played Madden twice. I beat him the first time with the Dolphins and him as the Falcons, as we decided those were the worst two teams in the game. It was a close win with the Dolphins. I won by 10 points, 20-1o in the rain at Dolphins stadium on a muggy humid day in Miami. I'm going to Ignore the fact that I kicked a meaningless 20 yard fg with 2 seconds left or else it would have been a 7 point game.
The other game I played against him was Patriots (me) and he picked the Titans. Now this is interesting. Usually when you play a football video game there is a tradition of, "you can't pick the best team in the game" dating back to the Joe Montana 49ers, to keep it close. Chris got arrogant because in Madden 2008 last year, I never came within two touchdowns of beating him. The game had a glitch where the players never got tired, so he would go no huddle, roll right or roll left with Vince Young and either pass to an Open Wr 10 yards down field or run for a 20 yard gain. So It was impossible to stop.
Anyway, they fixed that this year, And I don't think realized this, so basically I gave him a whipping. Granted he still used his no huddle thing with Vince Young but he didn't realize if You keep doing that they fumble easier which is a new thing in the game. So he kept driving into my redzone and it would be like the 15th play of the drive and he'd fumble at the 2 yard line. It was hilairious. I was laughing, I could tell he was stunned. It was like "Where did this come from?" since the entire time he's been gaming with me, he's been better. This is how I used to play though when I put more effort into it. I just had a lot of fun. I got some huge breaks though, I mean he threw a INT in the endzone, A fumble on the 1 yard line which on the next play was thrown to moss for a 99 yard td. ETC.
Today was my friend Marissa's last day working for us for the summer. She starts school on Monday. She really helped my mom out so much this summer when Pat was here since it allowed her to do stuff and I can't even describe how much she's helped me as a friend and being around her has really helped me grow up in the last year. I went a long time without being around people my age so it really helped to be around someone my age everyday for 3 months. I just wanted to adknowledge this.

bat
First we found out that my grandfather Carter, woke up to a bat in his room. Yes a bat. I think if I found a bat in my room I would do a chinese firedrill or have a heart attack. You ever see the episode of the office where they have the bat flying around dunder mills? I'm guessing that's what it was like. From what I remember my mom telling me, I forget how he got it out. I think it was leaving the side door in his room open. I think the whole thing was crazy.
I played some madden today. I like it a lot. I think it's an improvement enough to buy this years. the reason I like it is a new feature, where the game tells you the button to press when you need to. I often forget whats the right one to do, in previous versions, since there are about 20 different controls/buttons. The game had me rated all-madden at running, all-pro at passing, and pro at defensive pass and run. I need to work on those.
Check out www.deadspin.com it's a blog about sports that is really funny. They say some crazy stuff, something that made me laugh was {padraig harrington is the hakeem olajuwon of golf: meaning he only got his majors because tiger/michael jordan was out} anyway moving on.
I got back and took a golf lesson!!! I took it inside with JT, which I would encourage anyone to do when it's this hot and rainy, he's got all kind of gear to examine and break down your shot. I had a dvd of it but it didn't come out right. Anyway, I saw that my swing closely resembled ones of David Duval (before he got neutered 6-7 years ago of course, not the current one who shoots in the 90's in majors) So I thought this was cool.

madden day
HMMMM.....You think he might have came back right as the game came out for a reason??I forgot to update yesterday. Anyway I am back for another day. Today Is Madden Day. An event that comes once a year, that brings gamers from basements across the country to Gamestop (jk) to play the latest version of Madden.
I have ordered the game myself and will play it when it arrives. THIS is the 20th edition of the game making it the longest running yearly sports video game franchise. The first version was on Apple II computers in 1989. It would be another year before the Series really caught fire when it arrived on sega gensis. From there it's been the number 1 football game every year*
*=not always the best but when people talk about football games they say "Let's go play madden"
Something That I really am amused by is how my cousin Nate had an overall rating of 51 out of 100 in Madden 2001 which made him one of the worst players in the game. I remember trying to get a sack with him and it was impossible, The offense could run backwards for 40 yards and he would just get fatigued and barely be able to walk in game and someone else would get the sack.
I'm about ready to play golf again. I've been feeling a somewhat better lately. I guess it's from all the medicine in me.
I'm reading a really good civil war book. I believe the title is Battle Cry for Freedom. I have never learned anything about the Civil War and I'm 22 years old. So I decided to learn on my own. I'M 450 pages through this 900 page book and it's really been fun. I'm finding myself staying up until past 11 reading which is late for me. I see why there have been many many books written about the civil war.

RIP CHEF

Issac Hayes aka Chef from South Park has passed away at age 65 I'm a huge south park fan and chef is my favorite character even though they killed him off a few years ago. http://www.popeater.com/news_portal/music/article/soul-legend-isaac-hayes-passes-away/126811 here's my favorite chef moment on south park from season one, a takeoff on "thriller" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejxU8Koc1y4&feature=related
I am going to put up a picture of me in my Michaelrboh.com t-shirt. I’m sorry I didn’t get to it already. I guess I’ve gotten used to writing blogs on the computer downstairs where I normally don’t use pictures, which explains the lack of them.
It’s great to see the USA beat those commies bastards China in the sport that really matters most, Basketball. You hear all the time how great China is; yet they can’t come within 31 points of us. I think you could really make a case for this USA team as the best ever. We will see how it plays out. So far so good. Anyone else been watching?
Lots of good baseball on; In my opinion, The Angels are the team to beat in the American League. Tampa didn’t make the deal to put them over the top. In the National League it’s the Cubs or the Brewers. Man, it is so weird to have the Brewers and Rays be threats to win the World Series. Also strange is the fact that since early on in the year, people are so confident about the Cubs that anything less then a championship is not good enough. I would like that for them, but I’ve followed them since I was 10 and you can’t count on them for sure. It wouldn’t be right.

Olympics,golf,
sport where I have no idea whats going on- Team handball, fencing......the whole thing lasted 20 minutes.
I like the coverage despite it being taped. If I had fast enough internet connection I'd watch some stuff online. Oh well, where-ever the hell in 2012 I assume my connection speed it faster.
I decided not to go to my st george's class reunion which would have been tonight. I'm boosting my ego here but I noticed when I changed my status from "going" to "going going gone" 4 other people dropped out of going. I think because it was to take place at the columns, that's just not the best setting for this. This is just what I'm thinking, Not my way or no way. I just don't want to go drinking with the kids I grew up with going to school from ages 5-14. I just see it like we stand around with a beer in our hand like the opening credits of "King of the Hill" trying to think up stuff that happened way back, and not being able to remember much and just saying "uh-huh....yep....yep...mmmmhhhhhh" It would have been nice to have done something that was an activity like Bowling. Oh well, I will think, no more of it.
I took a walk today. That is a real positive to me since I haven't worked out much in the last 3 months.
Also- I haven't watched much of the PGA, it just seems so boring without Tiger since it's clear there is no Number two guy who can be half as good as number 1. Not even close in fact. I'd say this, I think Tiger Woods right now, the one you saw win the US open was playing the best golf anyone has ever played for a 12 month period. Its easier to see that now that he hasn't played since the US Open. No one has really stepped up. And please don't say something like Kenny Perry because he's not trying to win majors.

Spore-saints fantasy football
I'm feeling good, despite it not meaning anything about the Saints. Brees looked unstoppable. I kind of wonder how did the Saints get such a QB like him; I remember some people though we were paying him to much, but at 10 Million per year he is a bargin compared to a lot of QB's. I think Peyton makes double him.
Meachem looked good on that long Reception from Brunell. You know, Brunell is not the best starter. And the teams he starts on usually don't have to many weapons on offense, however- I think he could be okay if needed with us since we have weapons all over the place.
Nice runs by reee---giee! Stecker also. I didn't stay up past the 3rd quarter. I could have watched it but my tv is messed up in my room. At least the directv is. I'm getting no picture.
We seem to have a lot more depth this year as a team especially on offense. That will help over a 16 game season.
The trash talking for fantasy football year two has begin. They still call each other among other words: "turds", "gay"; they are enterting there second year of high school.

Hornets
Here's a list, of games I have to see-
NOVEMBER 1ST- Lebron James and the Cavs come to town. This is game 1 in New Orleans after a 2 game road trip. Every time king James comes to town it has a big game feel. It's different now though when a star player comes then it was when we first got our team and the roots weren't tied in as much. You'd see people wearing the visiting teams jersey. You only see that now with the Lakers.
Nov 12, december 23rd- Lakers, Kobe, Chris Paul these teams will decide the West this year
November 14th Portland- I think portland will be a surprise team out west, much like the hornets in 07-08. If Greg Oden Stays healthy, Watch out.
November 22- Oklahama (yet to be named: how about: bombers, cows, bandits this is the first time we play Oklahoma since they were stolen from Seattle. Yes, the NBA Took away a team that had been successful in the NW for over 40 years, in a city with over 3 million people, and put them in the middle of Oklahoma. IT'S FANNNNNNNTASTIC!
December 17th san antonio- return to the site of game 7. WE MUST WIN THIS GAME. It's payback, and revenge is sweeeet
friday jan 09- the clippers- this game is not really worth paying money to go see unless you want to see the hornets win easily. I just can't wait to watch the team of Mike Dunleavy Sr. and Baron Davis. Mike isn't going to take crap from him for sure.
January 19th Pacers- I love watching Mike Dunleavy JR play. I Wrote on here before about meeting him, or did I? Anyway, the thing about this game is it is at 3:0o pm on a monday. I hope this is a holiday so I can bring a friend. THIS is one of my personal most anticipated games of the year. I hope the NBA doesn't expand anymore so we see each team once at least every year.
March 16- Houston- We want to pull way ahead in the South west division at this point so we need a W here.
April games- Phoneix, Dallas- Either we have the west clinched or were fighting for a top spot. These will be great games. I think dallas is heading towards the lottery though.
playoffs- ARE YOU KIDDING ME PLAYOFFS?????!??! I JUST HOPE WE CAN MAKE IT THROUGH THE YEAR. all kidding aside i'm pumped
GO USA IN CHINA, BEAT the commies!!!!! USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! USA!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
i have no idea why the font is highlighted in the background.

chris, Fantasy football training camp
FANTASY FOOTBALL TRAINING CAMP
THE BOYS ARE BACK!!!!
11:00 AM TUESDAY AUGUST 5TH
location:RACOON CITY*
Room:The Room Of Champions**
**Actually our TV Viewing area which has the following- an old flat screen tv that flickers every two minutes for up to 10 seconds. which we bought the month before the last super bowl in new orleans (rams vs patriots, super bowl 36, January 2002, A labtop with a dead speaker, 5 fantasy football magazines with outdated info (that's what you get for printing them in may before the players get suspended for dui's and drugs) Joking aside, I would only take out the TV. We've been meaning to do this for about two years. This is considered the Room of champions because it was where great memories were formed from winning fantasy football. Okay, after the first game of the season when it begins where it begin I will drop the whole act. seriously.
The off season is nearly over, and the fall is upon us. In a Month it will be time for yet another season of the National Football League. now that Chris has joined the WINNING TEAM again in the Newman league, the quest to defend the championship begins. Michaelrboh.com proudly brings to you, HARD KNOCKS: FANTASY FOOTBALL TRAINING CAMP UNCENSORED-
first round- running back: you absolutely have to have a good rb to be good in the rules we follow for fantasy football. Having another good starter is a key also. But you got to have a guy who carries it at least 25 times a game. However, if A guy like Manning,Brady are available, stick with them. but try to take a rb.
Second round- You need to take a QB, easy pick. Get the best qb not taken, and look at who he has around him. You want a guy who will throw lots of TD'S and high yardage. Their team record isn't really a big factor. A couple years ago Jon Kitna was a top 5 fantasy qb on a Lions team that won about 3 games due to throwing the ball on every down, and always being behind.
third round- in this round you can take the BEST WR left. If one of the elite TE's is not taken and your picking late in the round I would take one, winslow, gates, shockey, gonzales.
fourth round- Adress the weakess position not taken so far on offense, I would wait 3-4 more rounds to pick a defense and you can wait and pick a kicker in the last round or as a free agent. That is the most shaky position.
for the rest of you picks try to get a good starter at each position so your never starting a weakness guarenteed. This is not that hard to do. Another key is depth. Don't pick a guy who is already hurt. Take a gamble late in the draft on a guy who might be missing the first 1-2 games of the season due to a suspension who would be higher otherwise. You want to have a good backup at WR.
try to make trades with the guy in the league who thinks he's funny giving up in week 6 half his team. Trust me I did this from ages 16-21. Much longer then I should of.
WAIVER WIRE- THIS is how we won last year. you can still win with a bad draft if your picking up the right guys as the year goes on and trading them before they peak into something else that is better.
- I will be back in a few days when there is more to write about, I'm going to start writing about things different then myself, and maybe not everday. I just need to do something different because it's starting to not be as fun. But I'm not giving it up. I think my writing has fallen off a little as I haven't felt well this summer, and I just think more thought out things would be better to read.

chicago cubs
- the following is not supposed to be written well, it may contain improper punctuation, bad spelling, and wrong word choices. Robert and Ann Boh, nor any other member of the Boh Family have anything to do with the following views of Michael R. Boh-
- besides we're here just to read a few thoughts in the life of Boh. Not some stuff that's going to change the world, like tiger's daddy earl (rip) said in 1996.
- i have laryngitis this weekend. I have the worst luck with this kind of stuff. So, I couldn't really talk at all. THAT IS Hard for me. Oh, and i saw one of the worst movies ever, Step brothers. It might have gotten better at the end but it was so bad I left early because it got really gross and boring. FRONTAL MALE NUDITY= disgusting, not funny in 99.99 percent of movies* (nude beach scene in eurotrip was funny)
- Since I've had time by myself a lot this weekend, I've watched a lot of baseball. Taking a short break from all the movie watching I've done the last 2 months. I watched Dodgers/Dback- I like how Manny wears the number 99 like Gretzky did. Also I watched the Cubs beat up the Pirates. Being able to hit home runs late in the game is huge. I think I decided for our baseball trip in 09 if I'm doing okay I would like to go back to C-town for a third time at Wrigley. I think that is my favorite city in the world besides New Orleans. Though I hate the Bears. I always hate how they have to talk about the 1985 Chicago Bears every time the Bears win more then 8 games.
pat will be back any minute

sat
Also to make matters more difficult I've completely lost my voice. It happened yesterday when I got home from dinner. I'm not sure how long it will take to be back to normal. But I can barely talk as it is.
i'm going to keep this short though because nothing happened today. i ate some candy, watched tv, slept.
